MUSEUM STREET

SHOPS AND SHOPPING

Ever since people began to trade and exchange goods there has been a need for shops and shopping.

The Street Features Authentic Local Shops With Original Fronts, Fixtures, Fittings And Contents

Museum Street uses original shop fronts from around Milton Keynes to create a street scene that would be typical of the Victorian and Edwardian eras. Visitors enter the street from the farmhouse and pass by recreations of the earliest types of "shop", when people sold their wares from their own homes or from carts and barrows on the street.
