The following events are being held at the Museum as part of the MK40
celebrations.
MK40 ExhibitionThis special exhibition prepared to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of Milton Keynes is visiting the Museum this Autumn and can be seen whenever the Museum is open. The exhibition closes on Sunday 21 October. Study Half Day: Saturday 13 OctoberThis special study day for adult learners is designed to provide an insight into local history. Special topics covered will include Sports Heritage MK, Agriculture and Industry: Life before MK. The day comprises expert talks and discussion in the morning followed by a tour of the Museum in the afternoon. Admission to the Museum is Free to participants. Autumn Half Term: Monday 22 to Friday 26 OctoberSpecial Half Term activities for families every day (admission charges apply) Study Half Day: Saturday 3 NovemberThis special study day for adult learners is designed to provide an
insight into local history. Special topics covered will include The Natural History of Milton Keynes.
The day comprises expert talks and discussion in the morning followed by a
tour of the Museum in the afternoon. Admission to the Museum is Free to
participants. Study Half Day: November (Date To Be Confirmed)This special study day for adult learners is designed to provide an insight into local history. The special topics will be "Why we love Milton Keynes: Its story through archives" and "The historic towns and villages of Milton Keynes". Milton Keynes provokes strong reactions. This day for adult learners will look at why people love the new city and its rich heritage. The day comprises expert talks and discussion in the morning followed by a tour of the Museum in the afternoon. Admission to the Museum is Free to participants. |
